About Adventures in Drunk Driving |
In February of 2009 I was arrested for my second DUI offense, the first being in January of 2000, both of which occurred in California. Punishments for drunk driving convictions here (and I imagine most every state in the US) increase exponentially per offense. The punishment for my first offense was a relative walk in the park in comparison to all the hoops to be jumped through for this second offense of which this site is primarily about. I decided to put together this website, Adventures in Drunk Driving, for two main reasons:
- To document and track the process of satisfying all the court and DMV requirements for this second offense.
- To serve as a resource for anyone who finds themself in my position or for anyone who might otherwise benefit.
There are a number of sites online where one can find information about legal matters, punishments, other experiences, etc. But not all of them give you the full picture and some of them even have conflicting information. All events and details listed here are my real world experiences as a multiple drunk driving offender and the resulting actions taken to satisfy the court system and DMV.
Links are provided to various resources, documents, and websites but Adventures in Drunk Driving has no affiliation with any of these organizations. They are provided simply as reference.
